Activist Boniface Mwangi has announced his bid to vie for the presidential seat in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
Speaking when he launched his bid Bonface has vowed to prioritize the fight against corruption, ensure education is free and end police brutality.
Bonface Mwangi has said will collaborate with leaders who do not have a history of corruption and abusing of power.
“There are some leaders who were part of this killer regime who have suddenly become saviours because they are out. Disregard them.” The activist has said.
“They are hyena’s and because we are not, we will not work with them.”
Mwangi previously ran unsuccessfully for parliament in 2017 on an anti-corruption platform. He has over the course of years earned a reputation for speaking out against human rights violations in Kenya and abroad.
Others who have announced presidential bids include Senator Okiya Omtatah and former Chief Justice David Maraga. Incumbent President William Ruto also intends to seek re-election.
