1. POSITION TITLE: NEWS INTERNSHIP
DEPARTMENT: NEWSROOM
PERIOD: 3 MONTHS
EXPECTATION: UNPAID INTERNSHIP

Opportunity Summary:
The intern’s main responsibilities are: Sourcing and gathering of news, scripting, editing and
voicing of news stories and news features, news reporting and anchoring, generate story ideas
and enhance newsroom productivity.

Areas of Responsibility and Learning
1. Sourcing and Gathering, scripting and reporting daily news
2. Compiling and anchoring of news
3. Conducting interviews with news sources
4. Enhance newsroom productivity through generating news stories ideas.
5. Engage news sources for purposes of verifying news content
6. Receive assignments or investigate news leads/tips
7. Abide by journalism ethics and codes
8. Feature writing and voicing
9. Translating news scripts from English to Swahili.
10. Any other areas as may be required by the News Editor.

Knowledge and Experience
Diploma, or equivalent, in Journalism, Mass Communication or a related field from a
recognized institution.
Interests and Skills
• Communicates clearly and professionally in written and oral forms to both internal
and external publics.
• Generates and acts on new ideas that add value to the newsroom, solve problems and
address difficulties.
• Contributes fully to the team effort and plays an integral part in the smooth running of
activities.


2. POSITION TITLE : PROGRAMMING INTERNSHIP
Department: RADIO
Period: 3 MONTHS
EXPECTATION: UNPAID INTERNSHIP

Opportunity Summary:
Biblia Husema Broadcast is looking for people interested in doing internship in our Radio;
Programming team.

Areas of Responsibility and Learning
1. Music research, identify and propose music that should be incorporated into the station
sound.
2. Execute commercial logs
3. Research, plan and develop on air content, ideas and concepts in line with the station
strategy and values.
4. Liaise with Continuity presenters to act on feedback from listeners

Knowledge and Experience
• Enrolled in Diploma or equivalent in Mass Communication or related qualifications
• Have a positive attitude and be willing to learn
• Must be a person of integrity, self-driven and passionate
• Must have good and proven track record



3. POSITION TITLE: FINANCE INTERN
DEPARTMENT: FINANCE
Period: 3 MONTHS

EXPECTATION: UNPAID INTERNSHIP


Opportunity Summary:
The intern’s main areas of learning are: Financial recording, reporting, tools and systems utilization,
banking, budgeting, policy implementation, audit, negotiations and management advisory.

Areas of Responsibility and Learning

  1. Recording of daily transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  2. Update of internal systems with and from financial data
  3. Reporting via financial and general management tools.
  4. Tracking & reconciliation of bank deposits and payments.
  5. Budgeting
  6. Implementation of finance related policies
  7. Financial audits procedures
  8. Credit negotiation
  9. Management from finance perspective.

Knowledge and Experience
• Enrolled in diploma, or equivalent, in Accounting or a related field at a recognized institution.
(Course completion is as added advantage)
Interests and Skills
•Communicates clearly and professionally in written and oral forms to diverse publics.
• Generates and acts on new ideas that add value to decisions, solve problems and address difficulties.
• Contributes fully to the team effort and enhances management of finances.
• Those with an interest in Business development are highly encouraged to apply.

4. POSITION TITLE: FINANCE INTERN
DEPARTMENT: FINANCE
Period: 3 MONTHS

EXPECTATION: UNPAID INTERNSHIP

Opportunity Summary:
The intern’s main areas of learning are: Market analysis, Strategy development and implementation,
Marketing campaign implementation, Client engagement and management, Budgeting, Multi-level
branding, Events planning, Front office management and management advisory.
Areas of Responsibility and Learning
